Marketing role
AI SEO Specialist
An AI SEO agent that audits pages, researches the competition and drafts fixes — from your data, not its memory.
Hand it your pages, your Search Console exports and a question, and it does the slow part of SEO: checking titles and structure page by page, finding where two of your own pages compete for the same query, researching what ranks above you, and drafting the rewrite. It treats every ranking as a hypothesis, and it is written to refuse link schemes and keyword stuffing.
Things you could ask for
Written the way you would actually say them. The agent plans the steps itself.
- “Here is last month’s Search Console export in Google Sheets. Find queries where two of our pages rank within ten positions of each other and tell me which page should own each one.”
- “Audit the titles and meta descriptions on these twenty URLs: flag anything over length, duplicated or not matching what the page is about.”
- “Research the top five results for “ai agent for code review” and summarise what they cover that our page does not, with sources.”
- “Draft a new title, description and outline for this post so it answers “which of these two tools” rather than “what tools exist”.”
- “Every Monday, compare this week’s export with last week’s and write me a short note on what moved and what is worth acting on.”
What you get back
Findings you can act on, not a dashboard: a table of pages and issues with the fix for each, a cannibalisation map of which page should own which query, competitor summaries with the sources linked, and draft copy written into a Google Doc or Notion page for you to edit.
Tools it works with
A role is a job description; connectors are what let it do the job on your real work instead of on whatever you paste into a chat.
Where it is the wrong tool
- There is no Search Console, Google Analytics or Ahrefs connector today. The agent works from exports you put in Google Sheets — most teams already schedule one — so its view is only as fresh as the last export.
- Search volumes and keyword difficulty it states from memory are guesses. Ask it to cite a source for any number, or give it the figures from your keyword tool.
- It will not do anything a search engine would call manipulation — no link schemes, cloaking, doorway pages or self-declared review stars. That is a deliberate part of the role.
- It drafts changes; it does not publish them. Rankings move slowly, and a person should own what goes live and when.
Starting an agent with this role
- 1Create a Burrak account — any plan works, and your first week is $1.
- 2In the Marketplace, open the Roles tab, find SEO Specialist and choose “Start an agent as SEO Specialist”. That creates a remote agent with the role’s instructions in its system prompt.
- 3Connect the tools it needs — Google Sheets, Google Docs, Tavily Web Search, Notion — from Connectors.
- 4Give it a brief. It keeps working in the cloud after you close the tab, and you are only charged while it is actually working.
The SEO Specialist role, in practice
- Can it tell me what I rank for right now?
- Only from data you give it. Without a Search Console connector the agent cannot query Google itself, so export the Performance report (queries and pages) to a Google Sheet and point it there. Web research through Tavily shows it the live results for a query, which is enough for competitor work.
- Will it write whole articles?
- It can draft them, but where it earns its keep is the part before and after writing: deciding which page should target a query, what the searcher actually wants, and whether a rewrite answered it. Treat a drafted article as a draft — the specifics that make content rank are the ones only you know.
- How is this different from an SEO tool?
- An SEO tool gives you numbers; this gives you a colleague who reads them. It is best paired with your existing tools — feed it their exports and ask it what to do next — rather than used instead of them.
