Marketing role
AI Social Media Strategist
An AI social media strategist that plans your calendar, drafts platform-native posts and reads your results — you post.
Give it your goals, your audience and last month’s numbers, and it does the planning work behind a social presence: a calendar built around a few themes, posts written for LinkedIn and X rather than copied between them, and a monthly read of what worked. It is strongest on B2B — founder and company-page LinkedIn, thought leadership, campaigns that tie back to a launch.
Things you could ask for
Written the way you would actually say them. The agent plans the steps itself.
- “Plan next month’s LinkedIn and X calendar in the content sheet around three themes from our roadmap, with a hook, a format and a posting day for each.”
- “Here is our LinkedIn analytics export for the quarter. Tell me which post types earned comments rather than just impressions, and what to do more of.”
- “Turn this product launch doc into a two-week campaign: a founder post, a company-page post and an X thread for launch day, then follow-ups.”
- “Research how three competitors talk about pricing on LinkedIn this quarter, with links, and where our positioning is different.”
- “Every Friday, draft next week’s five posts from what we shipped and wrote about, in the voice guide in Notion.”
What you get back
A calendar as rows in your content sheet, drafts in a Google Doc or Notion page grouped by platform, and visuals as editable files in your Canva account. Performance reviews come back as a short written read of your export: what moved, the likely reason, and the next three things to try.
Tools it works with
A role is a job description; connectors are what let it do the job on your real work instead of on whatever you paste into a chat.
Where it is the wrong tool
- It does not post. There is no LinkedIn or X connector today, so the agent cannot publish, schedule, reply or read your feed; drafts land in your tools and you post them, or paste them into the scheduler you already use.
- It sees only the numbers you give it. Without a platform connector it cannot pull analytics itself — export them to a Google Sheet and point it there.
- Engagement benchmarks it quotes from memory are generic. Judge it against your own last quarter, not an industry average.
- It will not buy engagement, run follower schemes or write fake reviews or testimonials. Growth has to come from the posts.
Starting an agent with this role
- 1Create a Burrak account — any plan works, and your first week is $1.
- 2In the Marketplace, open the Roles tab, find Social Media Strategist and choose “Start an agent as Social Media Strategist”. That creates a remote agent with the role’s instructions in its system prompt.
- 3Connect the tools it needs — Google Sheets, Google Docs, Notion, Tavily Web Search, Canva, Google Calendar — from Connectors.
- 4Give it a brief. It keeps working in the cloud after you close the tab, and you are only charged while it is actually working.
The Social Media Strategist role, in practice
- Can it post to LinkedIn or X for me?
- No. There is no LinkedIn or X connector today, so the agent drafts and you publish. For most teams that is the right split anyway: a post goes out under a person’s or a company’s name, and someone should read it first.
- How is this different from the Content Creator role?
- The Content Creator writes and repurposes the pieces; the Social Media Strategist decides what the calendar is for — which themes, which platforms, which formats — and reads the results to change it. Use them together: one sets the plan, the other fills it.
- Will the posts sound like us, or like AI?
- Give it a voice guide and a handful of posts that did well, and it writes to them; the agent’s memory keeps those preferences between runs. Posts still read best when they carry something only you know — a number, a customer, a mistake — so leave room for it.
