CRM & sales
Attio + Burrak AI
The CRM stays current because something else does the typing.
A CRM decays for one boring reason: the update happens after the call, when the person who made the call has moved on to the next one. An agent is good at exactly that job — turning what was said into the note, the field and the follow-up, and reading back across records at a volume nobody sits down and does. What it is not good at is deciding what is true about a customer, which is why the useful division of labour here is narrower than it first looks.
In the connector catalogue: Search records, update lists, add notes.
Things you could ask for
Written the way you would actually say them. An agent plans the steps itself.
- “Turn these call notes into a note on the right company record, and move the deal stage only if I said it moved.”
- “Which deals have had no activity in three weeks? List them with the last thing that actually happened on each.”
- “Find duplicate company records and tell me which pairs are genuinely the same organisation.”
- “Before tomorrow’s meetings, pull up each company and summarise everything we already know about them.”
- “Research this new lead and add what you find as a note, with sources — leave the fields alone.”
Prefer notes to fields. A note reads as somebody’s working-out and gets weighed accordingly; a populated field reads as a fact and gets trusted by the next person who opens the record. A wrong field is worse than an empty one, because an empty one still prompts somebody to go and check.
Connecting it
- 1Create a Burrak account — the free plan is enough to try this.
- 2Open Connectors and choose Attio.
- 3Authorise Burrak in Attio's own window. Your password never reaches us; we receive a token you can revoke whenever you like.
- 4Give an agent a task. It will use the connector when the work calls for it.
Attio and Burrak, in practice
- Should I let it update fields, or only add notes?
- Start with notes and widen deliberately. Fields your team makes decisions from — stage, owner, close date — are worth keeping as human edits for a while, and letting an agent write the note that argues for the change is most of the value anyway. Where a field is objective and you can check it in a glance, promoting it later is a small change.
- Can it enrich records from the web?
- With a search connector alongside it, yes — and you should ask for the source next to every claim, because an enrichment with no link behind it is a guess in a field that will be read as a fact. This is also not the same thing as Attio’s own enrichment data, which comes with provenance the agent cannot manufacture.
- Should this replace our sales automations?
- No. Anything that must happen the same way every time — a stage change firing a notification, a routing rule — should stay deterministic, and an agent is a poor substitute for a rule that already works. Point it at the parts nobody automated because they need judgement: the write-up, the reading back, the “what have we missed here”.
